Chanel's world domination

In this world of constant communication and overcrowding of messages, everyone is looking for that publicity to get their fashion show talked about, and this is usually achieved by doing something extremely remarkable or unique. Over at Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld has done it again with his strategically placed and impressive world dome featured in the 2013 Paris Fashion Week Fall fashion show. The idea of Chanel's global presence was confirmed with the globe's covering of lights, pinpointing Chanel's fashion distribution in many cities around the world.

The models trotted around the globe in a circular fashion, making the globe the centre of attention for the show, providing an impressive display and backdrop for Karl's latest genius collection.

What was Karl's underlying message with the world globe? That Chanel is already a world leader? Taking over the world? Pro globalisation? Or was it just an idea to get people talking and create something awe inspiring? Or did someone just have a mad love of the free-spinning world globe toys as a child?

Most may say that this only references Chanel's global market presence, to which I say; all hail the Chanel empire.
